JOHN PIANETTA

After serving two tours as a Navy pilot in the Vietnam War, John flew for commercial and corporate airlines for over 25 years. His farming roots never left him, however, and in 1995 he settled on the land in San Miguel that would soon become Pianetta Winery and Vineyards.
CAITLIN PIANETTA
Owner / Winemaker
After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Caitlin took on sales and marketing for Pianetta Winery. In 2006, she spearheaded the opening of the tasting room in downtown Paso Robles to promote direct sales and grow Pianetta's beloved wine club. Now, she is head of wine-making and vineyard management at Pianetta Winery and Vineyards.

Ana, our resident photographer and tasting room attendant wears a lot of hats. Ana’s interest in the wine industry started with just a few small excursions to local wineries, but it has grown to an appreciation and fascination with the entire process, grape to glass, which she documents consistently with her photography. She is a dynamic employee who started in the tasting room as a host and she has grown into an integral part of our team helping with website maintenance, event coordination and marketing. She is also a wealth of information on local history, and always loves learning new and unique stories of our small area of Paso Robles, so come in and share a story!

Marilyn may have started behind the counter in 2018, but now she is the ever important behind the scenes staff. Have you ever been to the Runway Dinner or participated in any of our events? Marilyn is the one to thank for them going off without a hitch! She is busy planning, coordinating, and creating marketing for the events. Also, if you see any bows tied on gift boxes or anywhere around the tasting room she is the one to take credit for those. Not everyone may know her, but her work is crucial for the continued success of Pianetta Winery!

This bundle of fluff may be small, but she makes herself known! She can be found in the tasting room politely requesting all of your attention or patiently waiting to clean up if you should drop a crumb. She is always up for a snuggle or ready to entertain the well behaved children of wine tasting parents.
