Music and Wine

Have you ever had a time when you are savoring a glass of Pianetta wine (or any wine), and the perfect song comes on the radio (or your streaming service of choice).  We certainly have had that experience.  Our staff wanted to share our favorite songs to listen to while enjoying a glass of our favorite wine.  Sometimes there are more than one.  It is amazing how a song and a moment and a glass of wine can be soothing, electrifying, and a memory made all in one.  We wanted to share a few of our favorites…. And we hope you share your favorites with us! 

Some of our staff picks 

“Purple Rain” – by Prince with Petite Sirah.  A perfect Pairing with the Petite Sirah for the most obvious reasons; its rich deep purple color, exciting flavor profile and velvety finish, just like the song. – Val 

Anything from Lewis Capaldi with Pinot Noir – Smooth and silky with just enough bold flavor to keep things exciting.  Sometimes you don’t know what you’re going to get, but it is always amazing. – Marilyn 

“Harvest Moon” by Neil Young with the Cabernet Sauvignon – It is just cozy, warm and has all the “feels.” - Emily 

“Bobbie McGee” by Janis Joplin with the Bilancio – Powerful but easy and smooth with a lot of excitement in between.  Plus, what a perfect pair! - Caitlin 

The Doobie Brothers and Zinfandel.  They are both spicy, and always remind me of my spicy days at Fresno State – Julie 

“Sky full of Stars” by Coldplay and the Tuscan Nights – Elegant, bold, emotional and powerful all combined in one statement - Val 

Anything smooth jazz with the Cabernet – They are both just classic, full of flavor. - Nessa 

“Pain & Misery” by The Teskey Brothers with Zinfandel – It (the Zin) and They (The Tenskey Brothers are just sexy and smooth. A hot tub is typically preferable - Emily 

“Night Moves” or “Against the Wind” by Bob Seger with Malbec – It is just smooth, Easy and Fun. – Caitlin 

“Into the Mystic” by Van Morrison with the Syrah – Makes me want to stay warm slow dancing in the night rain.  All the warm feels – Val & Emily 

“Juice” by Lizzo or “Hey Ya” by Outkast and JUG wine – Playful, fun, and easy. – Val & Caitlin 

“Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins with the Altitude – Who doesn’t think of this song without thinking of Top Gun – John (and basically all the Pianetta Family).
